On Friday morning we took a guided bus tour of Portland and West Hills. We then boarded the Spirit of Portland for a luncheon cruise on the Willamette River. Saturday we boarded a luxury coach for a guided trip to Timberline Lodge 6,000 feet up Mount Hood where we had lunch. On the way back we stopped at Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River where we saw among other things the salmon climbing the fish ladders from inside the dam. Sunday we had a morning business meeting of the Association. The banquet was in the evening with Robert Mills, accompanied by his wife Shelley, as our after diner speaker. Bob Mills was lead writer for Bob Hope from 1977 to 1992 when Bob Hope gave up his show. During that time, Bob Mills traveled all over the world with Bob Hope.
