Thursday night 43 of our group had dinner together at the hotel then many retired to the hospitality room.

Friday morning we took a guided bus tour of Historic downtown Norfolk including a stop at the General Douglas MacArthur Museum.  The buses then left to take us to the Spirit of Norfolk for a luncheon cruise on Hampton Roads Harbor of Chesapeake Bay.  We of course passed all the Navy Ships in the Norfolk Navy Yard and vicinity.  After the cruise we boarded the buses for a stop at the MacArthur Center Mall.

Saturday morning we again boarded the buses for a trip to the Virginia Beach area and the Virginia Marine Science Museum and the IMAX theater.  Then it was on to lunch and a visit to the old Coast Guard Station now turned into a museum.  We spent some time on the boardwalk along the ocean before boarding the busses to return to the hotel along the ocean route past Fort Henry.

Sunday morning we had a business meeting of the Association and our annual fund raising auction.  It was voted to have the 2000 Reunion in Colorado Springs.  The banquet was held in the evening after a social hour.  Then it was off to thhe hospitality room for more socializing before packing  for departure in the morning.
